Brace Yourselves; There’s Another Ghostbusters Movie Coming
Time to throw away your laptops, delete your social media, and hide in a bunker
It’s been a little over 2 years since the 2016 reboot of Ghostbusters nearly destroyed western civilization itself. Now, Jason Reitman, director of Juno and son of original Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman is looking to reboot the franchise back… since it went over so well last time.
The 2016 reboot completely tore the internet apart. There was intense vitriol hurled by both sides, in a truly unpleasant debate that saw no victor, only carnage. Some wanted to do away with history, some didn’t want to see their childhood memories threatened, some played every identity politics “card” on the planet, and some just plain-old hated women.
The newest reboot of the franchise is apparently set in the continuity of the first 2 movies, a move that will delight some, and annoy others.
In fact, every decision made, at any point in this whole process, is destined to be controversial.
If the debate is even half as toxic, on both sides, as the debate surrounding the 2016 film, then it may well be time to quit the internet, delete all social media, and return to an Amish way of life.
I’m not ready for another Ghostbusters movie, I’m not strong enough
