Entire Screen Actor’s Guild Joins Cast of Dune Reboot
The stacked cast grows more impressive by the day.
In a completely unprecedented move, SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris has announced that every single member of the esteemed Screen Actor’s Guild we play a part in the upcoming reboot of Dune, to be directed by Denis Villeneuve.
The decision comes after Dune had previously announced the casting of Timothee Chamalet, Oscar Isaac, Javier Bardem, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgard, Charlotte Rampling, Josh Brolin, and Jason Momoa.
This move marks the first time in history that all 116,000 members of the Screen Actors Guild have appeared in the same motion picture together, but SAG-AFTRA offered no comment on whether or not this would become a precedent for other films to employ the entirety of the film.
The casting may well prove an obstacle to the profitability of the film, which is expected to skyrocket after the casting of over 100,000 additional paid actors.
We approached Alec Baldwin to ask if the Famous Actors Guild would also be involved, but received no reply.
Dune is set to be released in November 2020
